SOS SEN

Free, friendly, independent parents' support organisation.  Advises on statementing and SENDIST processes.

Department for Education SEND

SEND: a guide for parents and carers (2014).  Describes how the new system for supporting children with SEN is intended to work.

SEND code of practice

SEND: Code of Practice 0 - 25 years.  New guidance for education settings, including changes made after the introduction of the Children and Families Act 2014.

mental health in schools

This DfE advice sets out how schools can support pupils whose mental health problems manifest themselves in behaviour, how to identify whether a child's behaviour is related to mental health, provide guidance on professionals to work with and links to additional support.  It supports the SEND Code of Practice.
