
Meet The Team

Tamara King
Tamara founded EHCP Schools in 2017 after raising her two sons with special educational needs including high functioning autism (ASD), pathological demand avoidance (PDA), ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Tourette's Syndrome. Both her son's had EHCP's and attended specialist schools. She went to Tribunal twice to secure a specialist residential placement for 38 weeks and then 52 weeks.
She utilises her 17 years' experience in the global corporate world of IT client services, with a BSc Hons degree in Applied Computing. Followed by a career change in 2014 as an Educational Consultant for a global school search company, whilst living as an expat in the United States. She worked extensively with International executive families relocating countries to navigate school choices. Whilst living and educating her children in the United States, she volunteered weekly in their classrooms, and was VP Board of Trustees for their International Baccalaureate Charter School.
From 2022-2025 she worked as a Family Ambassador for the NHS supporting families of the most complex young people who were referred to CAMHS Tier 4 inpatient & day patient mental health units. She empowered parents to work in partnership with the hospital teams, advised on next steps in their young person's education journey and completed EHC Needs Assessment applications, Appeals to the SEND Tribunal and supported school searches.
First and foremost she is a special needs parent and is passionate about empowering parents to advocate for their young people.
Tamara is DBS Checked to 15/02/2026 ID C0797969014 and holds her IPSEA Level 3 SEND Law Training.

Dulcie Valentine
Dulcie joined EHCP Schools in 2026 and brings over 10 years' experience in navigating mainstream, specialist and residential schools, alternative provisions and Education Other Than In School (EOTIS) with her own two children with high functioning autism, ADHD, anxiety and PTSD.
She is skilled in liaising directly with Local Authorities, educational and clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and schools. This makes her compassionate and understanding, as well as very knowledgeable about the type of help and support SEN children and their parent's need. Her first hand experience in this areas makes her passionate about advocating for children with special educational needs and disabilities who find themselves in an increasingly challenging environment, and advising parents with how to move forward.
Dulcie is originally from a legal and HR background and has a Masters in Employment Relations. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering in a local Primary School helping children develop their reading skills.
